reflected changes-----One Single Impression

deeply staring into your eyes,
I see the irises changing shades
catching my mood into them
your air of detachment
disappears subtly
replaced by fierce heat

with intense interest I watch
our souls merging
where I am not I anymore
you are not you either

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another of my rare love poetry. I am leaving this open-ended as love in itself is open-ended. Your comments and feedbacks are always welcome.
The chemistry of hearts and souls, where two combine to create a new one; love is so much more than physical. I can feel the fusion, the tension and the excitement! Well done!
You are very connected to this person. I like the ending, it has a yin-yang feel to it. Excellent work!
To be transformed by the company of another is a wonderful magic. You captured it so well. Thanks for this!
I love these lines:
"where I am not I anymore
you are not you either"
beautiful lines.. just loved these ones "where I am not I anymore
you are not you either" ... just like they have become strangers and nobody knows if they ever find a way back to each other. Kind of really sad..
Beautiful poem. The passion vibrates in the words. As many others have pointed out, the last two lines are exquisite. Wonderful.
I especially love how you capture the essence of love being a personal journey as well as a dual one - the air of detachment being replaced by fierce heat - thanks for sharing this
The beauty in your thought process here is intense. Such as when two soul mates become one. This union is indeed rare. Spectacular!
