blown away

the air around me has changed
uncertainity seems to have gone
the wind blew it away, leaving
behind a sense of tranquility;
when the clouded cobwebs cleared
all by themselves.
reading between the signs
I have this gut feeling that
it is time to leave the familiar,
venture out in the unknown
where whole of me would merge
with you, and why not?

"you and only you are home"

Love the touch of romance emerging from untangling of threads! Lovely sense of hope.

Nicely done.

I love seeing people who express themselves like I do, in a kind of poetry. I'm sure I used to follow your blog, years ago, but I am glad to hve found it again!

Lovely Tami. Another love poem I think? Although one could add that the lover might be self. Well done

A lovely poem, and one that could be read several times, each one being about merging with a different "you" - another person, the self, or God

Love windy days and think you use the wind successfully here as a metaphor for change.

Have you read Shelley's "Ode to the West Wind"?

I love this.

It gives a new sense to being rooted.

Hi Gautami, It's always good when uncertainty leaves but there again venturing out into the unknown could be a great adventure too..

We can spend too long in one place, and perhaps be the cause of the contempt from familiarity of it. Escaping doesn't just mean running away - we all have discoveries to make.

I cannot resist the sudden urge to quote Neil Young;

"You are like a hurricane,
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away,
To somewhere safer where the feeling stays...
I want to love you but I'm getting,
blown away."
