inseparable

in heated sun
I stood guard
to burdens of world
one of God's creature
sat on my head
shading me from sun
breeze tickles my beard

I found my mellow mood again

Love how little incidents together can generate a mellow mood! Lovely little poem!

This was a concrete interpration.
I think I saw his shoulders relax a little.

To think of the bird and those wings as shade—like that a lot! Very well done :)

An almost perfect match of words and image. Thanks for sharing this. James.

I like the synergy of bird and statue, and that you have picked the shelter of the spreading wings as central to the poem.

I love the personification of the stature, his thoughts, and how the birds wide wingspan provides shade. That a statue can mellow and relax makes me smile. Thanks for sharing today!

One picture is worth 1000 words...but I love the few you chose!

I admit it took a few lines before I realized you were speaking for the statue, not the bird. Nicely done!

The bird as a 'shade'--nice suprising take! Thanks!

Gautami, this is one of my favorites I've seen of yours. The image was very sweet, but the words really set the mood.

Glad you are back to mellow! Amy

That is certainly a "the glass is half full" interpretation of this photo (shading my head vs crapping on it)! Good job.
