when earth moves

I will do my laundry when
blue light fully fades into green
a goldfinch comes to sit on windowsill
the slippery moss can't ruin my mood
I like the sunlight on the prison wall
it is trapped for a while
can only escape when the earth moves,
repeated each day, in that tiny cell

"virtual can be caught in a real situation,
escape too is not that easy"

I like the feel and flow of your words Gautami. I want to think you aren't anxious to do laundry as you state a color ultimatum? Good but stifling image of life in a cell.

perhaps seeing the freedom of the light give a little hope to the one locked in...

Best excuse to put off doing laundry that I ever heard :)

Prison is a state of mind and or mood, we can feel trapped in the most ordinary routines that stifle our freedom , love the light and green moss and love the little birdie who can come and go as it pleases and pass easily through the bars. - a nice metaphors -

This is lovely! I especially like the opening, but trapped sunlight is particularly evocative. Nice write!

Lovely. I particularly love the goldfinch; and the photo sets the scene so well.

Our prisons are varied and any source of light is to be rejoiced. Interesting poem!

You are truely gifted to see beyond the obvious. The lines make me yearn to be in the prison for a while and enjoy the companionship of the trapped sunshine .
