don Juan goes psychedelic

is that all there is-
left of your psychedelic underwear?
it did help in taking my mind off
from the seven deadly sins
finally when I see you give those up-
dear, dear John,
I am no longer interested in you
hope you quench your thirst
by visions of the future
lolling in the company of
saints, monks, and meditation

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had fun writing this. I simply let go of myself and ended up with a poem which might not make much sense. But so what?
As creative a Dear John poem as I've seen.
Sometimes our mind takes flight and leads us to assemble words that seem meaningless, but contain truth.
I really admire poets, because I cannot write it, except for silly Roses are Red types that my husband and I make up to be silly! Great job!
Dear Guatami: Being a flower-child of the 60's and 70's I can relate to the "psychelic underwear". I know exactly what you mean oddly enough!
Journey of Don Juan from psychedelic underwear to chanting saints...that's quite an interesting response to a Poetry Potlucj prompt. :-)
John Lennon, John the Baptist and Pope John all kinda wandered here for me! While Don Juan seemed to umpire the whole shebang! What a fun party!
