rainy illusion

when the fiery wind sings
Old Bank Street, Manchester, UK by R.A.D. Stainforth
you hold my arm
(it makes a nice frame for pictures)
you have mastered that craft
to create illusions

just a deal, that show of caring
it can't repair the damage,
fathom deep, cracked to the edges

such a close call
why would anyone add to it
those redundant emotions
I want it back, I want to exist
I don't trust chance anymore

"the billow of clouds,
cloud my mind,
and I let you hold my hand"

It looks like a cold wind is whistling through their hearts and they are just playing lip service to their relationship, both waiting for the other to finally break it. What a telling tale you have told here.

Sunday’s Whirligig is available to help “fill in the gaps” created by Brenda’s three-month absence from The Sunday Whirl. I hope you’ll consider joining in the whirling fun. Check it out!

How sad to be in those shoes.

The title and the second stanza.....ouch. This paints such a powerful picture of what far too many relationships are really like behind the scenes they create for public viewing!!

In time even the deepest of hurts and all the damage there of, can fade away.... and life can become new again.

Such a beautiful picture. But pictures aren't always what they seem. Well done.

So true how we cannot always rely on chance.
