Uprising

This post has nothing to do with christmas. My poetic urge took over and here I am posting another one...still raw and out of the mill!

Uprising

fire oddly restrained;
lost in the fumes,
inside surefire stockade-

releasing the shaft,
consenting it to breathe
disregarding its rage.

soaring above blistered
remnants which storms up
unfettered and uninhibited.
