golden wings
it stood there near that stream
creature so beautiful
I circled from it
it was gone
I felt an itch on my shoulder blades
had I turned to a fairy?
Poetry for me is a way of living, it comes out of nowhere and I have to write it down. How I write, what I write, I decide. I am not asking you to be judgemental. I am gifted with the ability to see beyond the obvious.

a tale which doesn't have a happy ending
glistening dew on grass
remind me of beady eyes
of that dragon
whom I befriended
in my nocturnal forays
unafraid of his hissing
I had touched him softly
and felt him crumbling to my touch
he reciprocated
his talons so sharp and scary
but I remained unscathed
after the world slept
we roamed the forbidden lands
hidden skys, tunnelled earth
before the first light of sun,
he used to hide, I never knew where
one night I found his hide
cut into million of pieces
blood all over, nothing else left
now I roam the obsolete underworld
between dead and undead
"why shed a tear for me?
I won't see it or feel it"
remind me of beady eyes
of that dragon
whom I befriended
in my nocturnal forays
unafraid of his hissing
I had touched him softly

dragon rider
bluish scales turned green
black claws dug deep in sand
long spiny tail rattled
as it dragged after him
dragon was miffed at the dwarf
who clung to his back
tickling him like a caterpillar
a tiny drip of a creature
mightier than him
he flew high, he flew low
dwarf clung tight like a tick
dislodge him, the dragon couldn't.
"sulk all you can, till eternity
I have you in hypnotic hold-
it being ordained that I ride you"
black claws dug deep in sand
long spiny tail rattled
as it dragged after him
dragon was miffed at the dwarf

equus asinus asinus
smoky mist blows from the greenish sky
giant scorpion falls on the marshy land
its legs pull out a weed,
the wetlands split into two
strange creatures stumble out
with unaccounted limbs,
"equus asinus asinus- homosapeons"
calls out a croaked voice
all exclaim and fall silent
scaly body of that man-animal
scares even the weirdest of those
the sky falls to embrace all
blue scales shine giving out light
"we have a mission, it says,
"to go out and spread our seeds,
make it as much as like us,
with as many permutations
and combinations as possible"
when it turns and spreads its wings,
that donkey-head on a man's torso
along with the fishy fins
doesn't surprise them any more
snaky lions, tigerish tortoises,
wolfish sparrow, turn upwards
walk into all directions
circling in, circling out
but converge under the red mist
shout as loud as they can
"equus asinus asinus, we found a leader in him"

cat story
there was a piercing pain
everything went blank
when I came around
I found myself sprawled
on that cold earth,
in a bloody mess
my dignity in shreds
(arrow still stuck in my chest)
was I seeing things?
cat wearing a sweater
with four booties?
unblinking yellow eyes
staring at me
purring sensually
it darted towards me
and pulled out the arrow
(I cried out with pain)
in no time it licked it clean
that forked tongue
was a dead giveaway
when it talked back
I was doubly sure
my long lost demon
had come back to me
he shed his sweater
showed me his hairless form
a magic gone wrong
he gotta live with it
a faery gave him a sweater
and knitted him booties
first I laughed
then I hugged him
as a vampire myself
I had no complaints
I felt a happy tingle
went into a trance
when my cat bit hard
blood dried itself out,
both our powers had returned
healing my wounds
everything went blank
when I came around
I found myself sprawled
on that cold earth,
in a bloody mess
my dignity in shreds
(arrow still stuck in my chest)

phantasmagoria
in the middle of a hot summer night,
moon behind the cloud sheds orange light,
dancing fireflies are in a perpetual flight
tired, harried and hungry I arrive alone,
looking for a place to rest my tired bones
midst of nowhere, I see a house of stone
eerie silence permeates the surroundings
the sudden stroke of the clock enhancing
the hush. massive clouds above roaming
like phantoms playing without any care-
within walls, shadows have stillness to share
some unknown force beckons me into that lair
out of nowhere opens up a massive door
my legs giveaway, I fall down on cold floor
all my thoughts are on my body so sore
tentacles of what I know not, hit my heart
sweepingly seeping red fluid break it apart
to carry my deathless body they need a cart

changling-----Totally Optional Prompt/Patchwork Poetry
the distorted shell broke-
without the hardened, tough, exterior
yolk flowed out with no direction
changing into a yellowing flower
minus the sweet smell but a stink
my hand reached out to pick it
when the slimy wetness touched it
with repugnance, I drew back
A tiny bird flew out of my head
leaving me with the following thoughts
"untamed is the symmetry of our mind’s tigers"
these lonely days of blue
has resulted in a demented state
no wonder I had cut you with the bitter blades of what
I think, is deep hatred for your changling state
"the same state I had once proudly possessed in myself"
Patchwork Poetry done by taking lines from Paisley, lirone, lissa and writerwoman, in that order!

The Reality Of Fantasy---Sunday Scribblings
I stumbled upon Sunday Scribblings by chance. I found a writing prompt for fantasy here at #43-fantasy. I thought why not give it try. Sometimes we do need prompts for writing. Here is my Sunday scribbling in the form of a poem.
...............................................................

The Reality of Fantasy
winter rain plummets
akin to view from a comic strip,
end to end,
blurred highlights
from a solitary lantern
in the corner
feeds into fluidity
of the world.
I merge into darkness,
searching for light
scattered into unknown;
lexis upturned
within carton of
frivolity.
if vocalizations were
to be reproduced
would you
or I want it
rephrased?
