Self-less Love

what is mine is yours
what is yours is mine
i take your diamonds
you pay off my debts!

Hi Gautami,
Reached here from ryze, where I am no longer active. Liked your creations very much.
This ,self-less love, is a little less self-explanatory... does this signify any irony, or am I simply not getting its idea?

This seems to play very interestingly off of the ideal "merging" in marriage between the two parties ("what is mine is yours / what is yours is mine"), while then portraying what is often (sadly) the reality of a marriage of convenience. Nice contrast within the single stanza.
