Poetry for me is a way of living, it comes out of nowhere and I have to write it down. How I write, what I write, I decide. I am not asking you to be judgemental. I am gifted with the ability to see beyond the obvious.

inferno
I was calm amidst the hissing sound "pardon me," said Tom T. Urkee, my nearest neighbor, "I could only save this journal." "thanks, that is all I need," I said.
Our house burned down when I was three. I have often wondered what my parents would have rescued if they had a chance. Me? I agree with Kat. Grab that laptop and run!

good one
I knew this was going to be an interesting week. I would save my laptop, because that is where I keep all of my writing. Nice use of the prompt! Kat

Very thought-provoking!
I'd want to save my writings as well!
Amazing how many different takes there are on this prompt. Yours was seamless. It gives me an idea, I think I'll save all my posts in a journal. ~Ames
Interesting and wonderful way to go with the prompt. Good job.
Loving the variety this week! I would save my journals too, except I'd need a few boxes. I suppose I should gather them...
Powerful piece to read, especially for a bunch of writers.

The hissing made me nervous last night while I was watching the new Harry Potter movie. Good job!
Saving memories....that's a good thing. Thanks for playing along with your great contribution to the Sunday 160.

Marvelous writing -- penned so well in an economy of words, with feeling and emotions of the poem still intact.
