nothingness

pause gives me
so much pain
I try to engulf it
but it spills,
enters the cores
and the pores
I can deal with anger
numbness scares me

"leaving me with nothing"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Again I needed to write here that not all I pen is a personal reflection. Please do bear that in mind while reading and commenting. Remember, poets/writers have very vivid imaginations and have the insight for empathy too. You will agree with that if you are either or both. However, many a times we forget the distinction and presume and assume.
Brian, it is a pleasure to see you here after so long. But you know I always read you, one of best poets I have known in this blog world.
Nothingness can be scary, but even more when the nothingness lies within the crowds.
Your words carry a weight of their own.
Sometimes we keep ourselves so busy that we forget what lies in the core. Whether this is fiction or no, I think many have experienced that moment when we stop and cannot take it anymore. Simple and lovely Gautami
such a creative reflection on pause, one I considered as I wrote my peace.
The space that pauses create can be powerful, overwhelming.
I appreciate your comment on your creative work not being your biography. It can be frustrating when readers reduce a creative product as some sort of therapeutic outpouring. These are not the same!
Numbness is scary when we cannot feel anymore we cannot create, write, sing, invent we would be lost! Very powerful words!
Powerful!
Hate is not the opposite of love, indifference is
What's anything without really feeling it?
But then again, too much of anything can leave one numb...
Maybe moderation is the name of the game after all!
Very nicely penned, Gauthami.. Few words, packed with meaning!
