you need to escape from your solitude
let your shimmering emotions spill into the curb
let your steps direct you towards the yard
watch the thundering jets
the spewing hatred within yourself
needs to be dashed to the ground
let the rain wash it away
changing your status and stature
you can go and rest on that park bench
watch that door being knocked
you have to grab your due from the universe
no one else will be there for you
"the patterns are not you yet you are the pattern
goodbye is so final but the universe decides for you"
goodbye is so final but the universe decides for you"

I like this:
"you have to grab your due from the universe"
thanks, :)
I think the universe already has handed it over to us and the best grabbers are the ones to rise in stature. Content I am to watch from the park bench. A thought-provoking read.
Good advice, well expressed!
One has to decide for oneself! No one else will bother.Take a stand and be noticed! Good advice Gautami!

Yes, let the rain wash away the negative, and set those "shimmering emotions" free. I like what Libby says - in time, we learn to "grab" what the universe offers.
I enjoyed the wisdom and insight in your poem. Stunning verses.
The quoted two line stanza at the end is so very intriguing.
Indeed sometimes we have to come out of our solitude, no matter how wonderful we find it...
Yea, open the door to receive from the universe.
Wise... I really like the last 2 lines.
We can only change the world for the better if we put a little effort in ourselves. By the look of it we are not doing quite enough at the moment.
Wise words...
very nice. one needs to grab, true! some wisdom here
nice piece, love the quotation close here, works really nicely. thanks
So true!
Good to read you again Gautami!
... i like the idea of grabbing from a fierce onfire universe...
Fabulous thought-provoking work
Good advice.
(Would like to think I am devoid of the spewing hatred - will take a closer look within myself!)

Wow. A very assertive statement but well needed. I love how you transform input he image into such a statement and into an invitation to possibilities.

Love this. Great advice! :)
Nice writing, Tami ~~ Sounds like the proverbial Woman Scorned.
Thank you for the prompt. I am wondering if when you suggested it this writing was in the back of your mind.
I was mostly thinking of 'dashing' to here and there but then when I did the keyboard with possiblities of matching my photo I thought of D A S H laundry soap.
..
True for me...the universe decides. How all the important stuff happened. Still it is obvious I have to keep busy doing what I hope is right.
Nice way to say keep looking upwards and live life fullest!!
So profound and expressed in a small poem!!
Great insight in this.
This is a lovely poem. Thank you for sharing.
Great advice, if only it was so simple sometimes as letting the rain wash it away. But yes, you do have to let go sometimes and have the courage to get what you need.
Thank you for your comment on my post.
the last two lines are especially wonderful, great writing - as always, gautami..
wow- intense and strong.
I love your universal thinking. Thank you for sharing these inspiring words, Gautami
This can be interpreted on so many levels but I see it as a 'prisoner' (psychological or real) being urged to take control for themselves. Some very thoughtful phrases carefully crafted.
Excellent as usual. I enjoyed this.
=)
nice take on the prompt dash; a happy Sunday to you
much love...
wisdom-filled write. Lovely and inspiring.
So much hatred in the world - it would be good if it could be washed away.
