time never stops, yet I pause

I wrote some lines on the road
a few of the words got scattered
I suppose they changed lanes
as they felt redundant

I put my head on the ground
moving my eyes here and there
to follow the scattered words
But I found a few small poems

Isn't it the Universal truth
that we come out of our mothers
only to find our own niche
yet still be a part of her

we collect enormous baggages
with mindless complications
and forget to bond with the one
who brought us to life

"finally I realised that time is
what we really spend,
everything else has no meaning"

That middle stanza is so true. Thought-provoking poem.

I like the description of changing lanes because one feels redundant.

Really like this poem Gautami, especially this stanza. It is so nice to see your post here. I started writing again a few months ago after not having written for a number of years. I was struggling with my health for a long period, but that is behind me. I have been participating here at dVerse for a few months. I recognized a number of the poets. Nice to see your name again.

Very nice, I like how we are always connected to the one who gave us life.

I am so glad to see this. poem about poetry, but not really about writing poetry, but about the poetry of connecting and loving and seeing one another, and the mother earth, and perhaps even the universe, we are its eyes and ears perhaps. so we should all put our head to the ground, in reverence and attention. The title is so great, a perfect antitheitical, that circles around to the final point. I have enjoyed pausing here, thank you
