the anguish of anger

hidden from view
she of noble birth
watches the uneven fight
between man and beast
she lets her thoughts roam-
what was his crime
other than loving her?
when the beast falls down
he stands tall yet doomed
to his inevitable death

anger and anguish
take her in
silently she gets up
jumps from her hidden niche-
falls at his feet.
'another love story doomed'

Gautami,

Read 2 poems now. I am trying to fathom hidden meaning in both. On the face of it both point to sad ending of love.

Take care

Yes, we do yearn for a happy ending even when we are dealing with beasts.

Anger and anguish: such a potent force when stirred together...

even moreso when stirred with words.

THANK YOU!

What a sad poem. So often anger and sadness are tied together.

Gautami, you have written a beautiful poem about failed love. "Anger and anguish" express so much!
