reflecting a random thought

countless dreams-
I don't wish to chase any now
I would rather follow the sturdy terrain
continue paving the way to that field where
the scent of the flora beckons me

I propel forward by an unknown force
and lean against a tree to gather my breath
the jovial wind touches me with fluid movements
the hard earth underneath my feet steadies me
yet I am distracted by a nameless something

"at least I won't be needing my pills tonight
I am already so high on nature"

Wouldn't it be lovely if nature could cure all of our ills?

I'm with Helen! If only Mother Nature could be our doctor!

I, too, follow the sturdy terrain.......I love the "jovial wind" and the earth steadying you.....and nature is the best high there is!

Pills... a blessing and a curse. And modern medicine really does seem to resent alternative approaches. I think if we had the time to reconnect with nature, we would feel a lot better...

This poem is a breathe of fresh air. There is more than one route to a natural rest.

i echo mi amiga Sherry's words and add by saying that i also think it's important to touch, to lean against a tree, letting them know many of us appreciated them as living beings much like you and me.

love this piece for it grounds me.

gracias mi amigo

It's a wonderful thing when one discovers that one no longer needs pills.
