dusk is but a chimera

that spacecraft is waiting
planets are aligned
let me tread slowly into space
but first I must tangle with you

call me a lunatic or a loser if you must
you are aware I have to spread my wings
one of my endeavors to explore the beyond
leaving behind my very own angel

I am forever spinning into dreams
whatever you say, I won't sway
I will come back someday
born on a Christmas day

"that crowd is akin to shroud
I wish for silence to be loud"

Doubt is the biggest monster to fight...such a powerful piece..a quiet but strong cry of intention

Seems the word "lunatic" is on the loose today.I like the quote at the end.

A goodbye shrouded in desires to return. I like it.

It is indeed a positive thing when silence is the loudest sound.

Beautiful writing, and it makes one want the back story of the poem. Smiles.

How we have both embraced and spurned that traveler as well absorbed and spurned the messages given to us. Let's hope the real lesson taught us doesn't lessen.

You've beautifully captured the feeling of longing in your words.

"let me tread slowly into space
but first I must tangle with you" - My favourite lines.

goodbyes are never easy, yet you "shroud" your goodbye in a "tangle" of returning, a crafty write

have a good week

much love...

It's interesting to see everyone's takes on the prompt. I've seen a couple of angels and references to space. I like seeing where people take the picture.

The rhythm and use of the words are quite lovely. The anxiety of parting and surety of return are well conveyed.
