butterfly cinquain

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 TO ALL, DEAR FRIENDS.
MAY IT BE FILLED WITH CREATIVE SPIRITS.

As our blogs play such an important role in our lives, I offer this one, the first verse for 2009.
I have written a lot of cinquains. This is a butterfly cinquain. Buttefly Cinquain has nine lines. The fifth line is taken as first for the second one. Both have to be related in one way or the other.

weblogs
electronic writing
expressing anything, everything
to the unknown world
e-journal
personal diaries
containg random thoughts
pertaining to varied issues
blogging!

Posting it for Totally Optional Prompts, which offers creative prompts each week. Do check it out.

You have summed up this blogging lark just perfectly!

Here is my 'ordinary' cinquain about a butterfly!

fragile
butterfly wings
open, then close
like hands at prayer
fragile

See - I'm not just a pretty face!

Happy New Year

Perfect spread of your wings, Gautami!
A goal of mine in 2009 is to try this poetic form.
