immense resolutions
shimmer in the cauldron
steam arises out of it
I say I want to grow young with you
never old, exploring
everything new that we can
not just each other, but beyond-
the crossroads are my destinations
intersections are yours
with my finger tips
I trace out the steam off the mirror
while you watch the effect of it on me
"are you not pleased that we are both children in that image?"

this has such a richness to it, such depth.
Gautami, I absolutely love this and that second stanza, says so much. I often feel exactly that way.
Perfect to prompt.

Each stanza adds a sensitive layer of beauty! But that final one - tracing the steam and watching the effect on the image of another is creatively enchanting!
I love growing young with you...nice poem!
"I want to grow young with you" How lovely, how full of hope. Beautifully done.
This is beautiful Gautami. In a way it reminded me of Robert Browning's ode to Elizabeth Barrett Browning which is my very favorite 19th century poem and a great compliment--kind of went the opposite way while saying the same thing
I say I want to grow young with you
never old ... wonderful!
Lovely poem about togetherness.
The idea of growing young with the other is awesome - and I really liked the final stanza, a picture within a picture...
I love "I want to grow young with you"
what an absolutely perfect thing to say!
As with many of the others, I was struck by the second stanza. Especially, "I want to grow young with you".
How wonderful! I love the idea of growing young together. What a great outlook.
Gautami, I love the idea of growing young with someone....we can be children as we wish in a mirror, I think. I do believe!
Hopeful togetherness leading to the reverse image of youth. Wonderful take on the prompt.
Nothing can beat a second childhood- especially if the first was not too good! :)
"..I say I want to grow young with you.." We should take this up as a motto for life. Very nice.
Allowing ourselves to explore and enjoy the wonder would evoke the child in us!
growing young together...i like that...very nicely layered piece...
Loved it Completely...
I love the juxtaposition of the tangible and the everyday to the intangible and eternal.
Thanks for sharing it.
this is so romantic, growing young together? Wow super writing!
beautiful! and i love the unexpected line of "i say i want to grow young with you/ never old, exploring/ everything new that we can" -- this is really lovely
Lovely message of freshness in shared crossroads. Always children in wonder and curiosity when we choose to be.
Have to get ahold of that mirror..eternal youth! You express so well the fleeting dream.
I love the idea of growing young through seeking everything new, rather than grwoing old together, and the implication of the final line is phenomenal.
exploring everything new that we can...
what a lovely, intimate poem. thank you so much for linking.
Like everyone else I love the idea of growing young with you!
"are you not pleased that we are both children in that image?"
Often I feel very much a child when I look at myself. All of a sudden, that doesn't seem to be a bad thing!
This declaration of love is a fine song.
Best wishes
Ralf
A beautiful poem so loaded with imagery and emotion. Very much like the crossroads and intersections.

Just beautiful. Nice take on the Mag. Love and Light, Sender
