within the pages

in the pages of my poetry book
I find you pressed to love poems
when I untangle you, you resist
I too lie down beside you
submerging myself into the pages
the press of you into me
unleashes my hinges
the musty smell of poetry
embraces us both
I close the book enclosing us,
open into you impusively
lost in the mazes of the pages

Trick or treat!" they shouted as the door opened...
within the book we were both a treat, no tricks

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saturday Centus: Trick or treat!" they shouted as the door opened...
Sounds like you have a boyfriend, LOL! Vividly described, Gautamy.
I just love the sensitivity of our words in this poem! I love:
"I close the book enclosing us"
Ahh!This is so lovely...
I was just waiting for a familiar cliché to spring up, but it never came...That's the beauty of it :)
You are a true poet; your words usually take my hand, leading and guiding me and sometimes I am simply left to watch as your poetry does a gentle dance.
I used to manage a bookstore that had an upstairs mezzanine. I often wondered about customers who would go directly to that space and not come down for an hour or two, thinking they might somehow be diving into a book and living inside it's pages. You did that with your poem in such a wonderful way. Thank you for that,
Elizabeth
Love poetry is so difficult to write, and you have done it in style. Thank you.
Loved it, the imagery beautiful, vivid - the trick or treat lines at the end spoiled the mood for me though... this is too gorgeous a poem to spoil in that way - just my take :)
What a lovely use of the prompt...so tender, erotic, visual and lovely.
The trick or treat startled me just a bit but then it flowed into your poetic words just perfectly.
Wow.
Thank you for linking.
