ransom

your green eyes beguile me
with a hint of a smile
vast sea behind you cannot diminish your aura

that mind stretches mine to limits
that voice pushes me beyond me
yet I only see that defined chin

my cerebral nature has turned verbal
intellectual into sensual
I seriously pretend to be casual

I pick up the sensitivity
gently hold it to me
let essence of senses take over me

"the mafia that is you holds me to ransom"

Rings so true - not wanting to give way and yet your heart falling captive against perhaps your better judgment. Well written dear. Yes, it was a brilliant last line.

I love the way you worked with all three prompts to create this poem! Well crafted. I liked the third stanza: intellectual into sensual!

I like your style and what you said about this being your interpretation of the prompt. That is what poetry is about and I forget that. I really like this poem and I like the way you end with senses taking over you. Then the clincher at the end! Well done!

That would make one heck of a valentine. Head over heels.

Gautami this is sensual poem. I agree with Judy, it is our interpretation of the prompts. That is what poetry is all about.

Beautifully sensuous. Absolutely love where you took this prompt. I had a difficult time with it and almost skipped it completely. Did however find inspiration. I love what you do Gautami,
