in my pocket I want to carry your blink
just prior to your staring unblinking at me
I want to remember forever
those eyes smiling at me
that blink I would take it out on that occasion
when I am sitting with my solitude
when the wind too is kind enough to blow around me

The words were as light as a breath - the images as strong as an opening eye..Jae
I like to think about things we keep in our pockets.

Always a delight to read you..
Lovely words, lovely thoughts.
beautiful, nicely done
what a lovely little poem, Gautami. i want to take the first line and put it in my pocket. :-)
"in my pocket I want to carry your blink"
you had me at that.
In just the idea of keeping such a fleeting aspect of a lover's mannerism and having it there to take it out later is very romantic.
I love how you paint with words.
How lovely!
Like those photos where our eyes are closed, we wish we could make them open forever.

Gautami, I am so fond of the idea of putting something oblique in one's pocket. I am currently in the jacket pocket of a friend in India! He promised to keep me where there was a good view.
This was lovely. Thanks, and here's mine for 3WW:

Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
What a lovely picture this evokes
I love this - the blink suggesting life and that eyes will reopen. Unblinking suggesting death and loss. So beautiful and heartbreaking. I am going to hold onto the idea of keeping the blinks of those I cherish.
Curious and charming images! I like the idea of carrying around a blink, and the kindness of the wind.
I like your concept about carrying a blink! well done- thanks
