movement

soil spews me out
I bloom happily-
to warmth of sun

winds blow sand
all around-
still I am rooted

azure sky stares
askance at me-
I proudly sway

What a difference the pluralisation of wind makes to the movement - one sky, one sun but not just one wind!

I begin to understand that the freedom to sway in the breeze comes from a sense of being securely rooted,

(Your prompt of "spectral" comes up next week. Please send me a poem and/or image before then!)

Sounds like a struggle, a battle, defiantly won.

Love the personification in this. Lovely piece Guatami.

Isn't it ironic that being firmly rooted gives us the freedom to sway! Lovely.

Love that second one. To know we are always rooted, even in "sandstorms."

Oneness with nature that hardly come by any of us, unless one is receptive to this sort of deep observation. Wonderful.

Gautami, first off let me say that I like your pretty and new profile picture. (I changed mine too.)

It's so nice in the sun even when the winds are blowing the sand. I like your answer to the sky's question, be proud, you are hanging in there.

These are delightfully carefree. Refreshing - I esp. connect with the second.

It is wonderful to sway in the wind and stay rooted at the same time.
