nature toys with us
I ask for rains-
blue or otherwise
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
my lines have stopped raining
words dried out in the heat
I TOY WITH BLUE BLANKNESS
induced by wordy heat
raining words are a dream now
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When twilight rains blue light,dry scattered dust toys with heavily humid air.
Grey moon grimaces, wishing for a cloud to hide her facade behind it.
Finding none, she shrivels and shuts herself in and disappears after days.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My muse died in this heat. So I can't think of anything other than the above short verse.
Main thing is you tried to keep writing. Never lose momentum. Good effort. Hope all is well.
when hot
stick head in ice box
or wear crushed ice under hat
words sometimes form
like condensation
Toys vs. Heart
Oh we have tha6t here in Summer too most uncomfortable isn't it. I hope you get some rain to cool you and that it does not turn straight to steam.
Nature does toy with us at times...
I agree with Michelle, good effort Gautami with this wonderful prompt.
And we are living in Winter worlds here in Australia, minus snow ~ except in the high country. And rain hangs with potential right now but not reality.
A poem heavy with tired feeling!
Just keep writing, girl, keep writing.
It's lovely Gautami. Hope you find some cool shade to hide from the heat in :)
I like the idea of combining rain/heat and words/writing. Impressive.
Best wishes
Ralf
Love the first one, and had to laugh- I have been complaining lately of too much rain.
love the second one - blue blankness - great combo
Pretty awesome as it is...would you like a cold breeze sent to you,? :)
Twisting and turning my mind. Excellent.
I like the twist on the prompt :-)
it's hot here too, and it's getting worse..:(
Last one os my fav...
i like the last one! You should write early in the day--I, too, don't like hot and humid
Clever to use all the prompts - this post is finely tuned!
Wow...I think your muse is hanging out with you even though you don't know it! Those were wonderful, especially the second one.
Dear Gautami, don't loose that beautiful water drops inside your mind. I guess there's always a time when pain seems to fold everything and words don't come out of our minds. I had a time like this when I lost a dear, dear friend. I thought that I had lost the ability to write and to create. It lasted for a long time. But keep trying, keep those words flowing, because after all, it is such a relief to write and some of the most beautiful works blossom from tears (tears of pain, tears of joy). Very meaningful, your poems; though short, how intensely the feeling shines through!
Hi Gautami, I believe your 'departed muse' is hiding in these short and dry lines. It's very nice, I like the idea of the hiding moon. :-)
..
Nature seems to do exactly that. And in those dry spells we rest and wait for more!
You did great, muse or no muse!
Rain has stopped
Rainbow variegated appear there
Se and lost time!
For dried up words in heat you crafted them with style. Hard on me to type in this heat!
I too lived for many years in a place where the rains stopped completely for many months -- I remember that dry waiting.
I so much know how you feel! It's been miserable here. Nice tonight, but I'm still tired from it. That's why I've been so out of touch with everyone for weeks.
I love your poetry Gautami
heat or not, u kept writing... that counts! :)
i liked the second effort best of the three...
it showed the heat playing with ur muse...
Blue Rains
drought. sags between your breath and the static night air. soon to be monsoon. for now find underground coolness
It'll break sooner or later. The heat. And the muse will return.
Hang in there.
Hi Gautami, sorry I've not been around lately, the heat has been getting to me too!
Love your poetry <3
blue blankness... like that...
Beautiful words from you, as usual!
The muse may have died temporarily, but it sure hasn't lost any of its' brilliance!
