homing

I leave the indentation of my head on your pillow,
and walk out of that door
you wake up to find me gone
but I am there in the folds of your skin,
stray hair on your shoulder.

"when my feet walk to the bamboo fields
you will find me there and get me home"

I can't decide if it's a case of "I'll never wash this hand again" or "I need a shower." It's the hair on the shoulder thing.

I am still pretty good at leaving.
most of the time my partner comes and joins me, eventually...we often walk home together. Thanks!

This was truly beautiful. Love the feeling of the lingering essence one carries around with them all day.

Adore the bamboo quote.
