Poetry for me is a way of living, it comes out of nowhere and I have to write it down. How I write, what I write, I decide. I am not asking you to be judgemental. I am gifted with the ability to see beyond the obvious.

stupor
The Purple Robe by Henri Matisse
impassioned-
she sits against the grey background
deep in some thought
what, you might ask
and she will not answer
she is forced to pose
for a portrait,
her pregnant belly hidden from you all
a folly maybe
but a concrete proof of her inner self
"you build a border for her,
but I think she is trapped
in the intricacies of that frame"

Congrats! I love your work and I am in constant awe of your talent! :)
With both quality and quantity, you never cease to amaze
Have a great day...
I like this one a lot!
That's a wonderful reaction to the Matisse. I admire your talent.
Amazingly beautiful.. but then it comes toyou so naturally.. thanks a lovely prompt.. coming from you have tried to write something different.. in terms of "Her and You" not "I"... hope you will say something..
A first-rate example of a picture being worth any number of words "explaining" it.
beautiful...and original way to say it!
She's certainly trapped temporarily in her frame.
You certainly bring more to the mind as the eyes look at the painting....well done.
Love Matisse, love the writing.
You've nailed the painting. Excellent.
Love the last lines of your poem most.
A wonderful way to think about her. Thank you for introducing. Please have a good new month and week as well.

Fantastic write! I liked how the words seemed to flow seamlessly into the art yet retaining its own merit.
You gave me the lens through which to differently consider this piece of art. Thank you!

I love the "story" behind the picture- well done- and great prompt- thanks!
The intricacies indeed!
Wonderful poem,

I like your thought on this- lovely!
having to hide something as beautiful as the expectatnt child...break free that frame...
You frame the prompt powerfully with your words, which sets up pointed and very telling commentary in the quoted ending.
Your interpretation of the painting and your way with words are just inspired!
impassioned - imprisoned. Beautiful.
Brilliant writing!
A real pleasure to read. Thanks for sharing
