earthy feel----Totally Optional Prompts

burrowing in, burrowing out
following no particular path-
aerating solidness of soil

fertilizing it all the while.

roots are deeply embedded,
nourished too by thoughtful

gestures. lowly creatures

selflessly so environment

friendly, wriggling all over’
loam, are those earthworms.

I wrote it a few minutes back and posting it here un-edited.

Fast poems hit me at times too. It's like the poem rushes out of you.

Wiggly wiggly waggly worms -- what wonderful whimsy!

I like the fast pace, it mirrors the worms themselves.

Fun! And reminds me of a book I read many years ago - How to Eat Worms.

Lots of S's in here that create a sinuous feel. I can see those worms.

Earthworms are a treasure. You've done nicely to "elevate" them.
